Huntington Arts Council
Founded in 1963, the Huntington Arts Council has inspired and aided in the growth of hundreds of art organizations and individual artists flourishing across Long Island. Established to provide the coordination and programming services for the arts, the Huntington Arts Council celebrates the diversity of Long Island’s cultural resources through sponsored activities, programs and publications that advocate cultural awareness and education. The Culture Connection is honored to be hosted by Executive Director, Marc Courtade and his team. The Village Center
The Village Center is a hub of cultural and community activity overlooking the Port Jefferson Harbor and Long Island Sound. Completely renovated and often referred to as “the anchor of the community” this modern structure is hosts to numerous artistic and cultural activities and events. Renee Lemmerman, Superintendent of Recreation, is dedicated to bringing diverse and appealing programs to the center. Opening their doors to the Culture Connection’s Children’s Art Program, Exploration and Creation this Fall is just another pathway to achieving that goal.
